Friendly family-owned lodge in a rainforest area near a national park. Separate eco units with fully equipped kitchen, strong hot shower, and powerful ceiling fan. Stunning property, tucked away cabins with beautiful backyard, hammock, and pool. Lovely garden with hummingbirds and howler monkeys. Helpful owners provided tours, taxis, and even transportation to the next hotel.

We got incredible value for our money at La Rana De Cahuita! The room was spotless and beautifully furnished, and the location surrounded by nature was breathtaking. The staff was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The breakfast menu could use a little more variety.

Spent Christmas at a jungle retreat and it was amazing! Loved waking up to the sounds of monkeys and being surrounded by nature. The optional breakfast was delicious and the pool was a hit with the kids. The owners were friendly and always there to help. The bungalow had everything we needed, including a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The outdoor area with a hammock was perfect for relaxation.
The location was a bit far from town, so having a car was necessary. Taxis were available but could get expensive.

We had an amazing stay at a hidden gem in the jungle. The value for money was great and the room had everything we needed, including a spacious veranda with a hammock. The location was perfect, tucked away in the jungle but still easily accessible. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and even gave us a tour of the town when we arrived. The wildlife and beautiful gardens added to the paradise-like experience.
The morning meal could have been improved with sharper knives and a better selection of cooking equipment.

Stylish and relaxing accommodations. The lodges were spacious and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a clean environment. The garden was like a small paradise, full of beautiful birds and other animals. The deck was a perfect place to relax surrounded by nature. The hosts and their kids were welcoming and made us feel at home. The pool was a nice addition, although it closed early. a great place to stay.
A car was necessary to get to the beach or shop, which was a bit inconvenient. The internet connection was spotty and weak in certain areas.

I recently stayed at a hidden gem in paradise called La Rana De Cahuita and it was truly a memorable experience. The bungalow I stayed in was beautifully decorated and had all the necessary amenities including a fridge and a kitchenette. The property itself was a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush gardens and even had a lovely pool. Although there were a few minor drawbacks such as the lack of air conditioning and some noise from construction in the area, they didn't hinder my overall enjoyment. I would highly recommend this hotel for a tranquil, nature-filled getaway. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this place to others.

We had a lovely stay at the peaceful La Rana De Cahuita Villa. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast by the pool was a delightful start to the day. The bungalow was comfortable and well-maintained, providing everything we needed. The location, away from main roads, was beautiful and quiet, surrounded by wildlife. Despite not having a car, we had easy access to the main bus route serving Limon, Cahuita, Puerto Viejo. We would definitely stay here again! we highly recommend this hotel for a tranquil and enjoyable experience.
There were a few minor drawbacks during our stay. The check-out time was a bit early at 10am, although they did allow us to stay until 11am upon request.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Rana De Cahuita Villa. Lina and her husband were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They even surprised us with refreshing coconut water when my son expressed interest in trying it. The grounds of the villa were breathtakingly beautiful, and I cherished the mornings when I could enjoy my coffee on the patio while watching the vibrant birdlife. We were also treated to the sounds of howler monkeys each day, which was an incredible experience. One of the highlights for my children was playing with the owners' children and adorable dogs. this was definitely one of the best places we stayed during our two-week trip.
Nothing could have been better! 😊

I had the most amazing stay at a little hide-away in paradise. The one-bedroom bungalow with its outdoor kitchenette and large deck was absolutely beautiful. I loved spending time in the outdoors living area and the communal pool was just a short walk away. The garden surrounding the bungalow was stunning. Despite the barking dogs in the neighborhood, my overall experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat.
